After completing a degree in History and English at Loughborough University, Joe attended the University of the West of England to undertake both the General Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course, completing his studies in 2019.
Joe qualified as a Manx Advocate in 2021 and joined the Company in February 2023.
Joe spent much of his training and post-qualification working in dispute resolution, with a particular focus on corporate and commercial disputes – working closely with the Humphrey & Helfrich Corporate and Commercial team. He also has experience with corporate insolvency, assisting both creditors and liquidators with both a variety of Manx-centric insolvency scenarios, as well as with more internationally-focused elements. He also has a particular interest in personal injury and medical negligence claims.
Joe also assists firm clients on a regular basis concerning breach of contract claims, debt recovery and property and land disputes.
"Joe Burrows was very professional in his approach to my case. He explained what I needed to understand in my language."
"Joe Burrows has been dealing with my case for over two years now and has always made me feel at ease during this ongoing, stressful time. He is very understanding of my medical situation and issues within my daily life and I feel able to contact him with any concerns should I need to which I feel is important. "
